Clarksburg School Committee Meeting - Aug. 1st, 2024

Meeting will be held in the cafeteria/gymnasium. Please park and enter through the doors at the back of the building.

Agenda

1. Call to order:
2. Public Comment/Open Meeting Rules: Clarification of the official legal rules of participation in an open meeting.
3. Approval of Minutes: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the minutes from the Clarksburg School Committee Meeting dated June 5, 2024.
4. School Building: Updated information regarding the adjusted plan to start the building project on August 7 to address the ADA accessibility issue with a chairlift on the back stairwell.  Discussion about potential building safety upgrades.
5. Financial Statement: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the current financial statement for FY25.
6. Business Administrator’s Report:
7. 1. FY 24 school budget: Updates on the year-end close out process.
   2. Revolving Account:  Adjusted plan for revolving accounts in FY 25 for NBSU shared costs
   3. Reconciliations of Accounts: Update the committee on efforts to reconcile the school choice account, summer step up account, the student activity account, and petty cash.
8. Principal’s Report: Principal Cote will provide an update on school related events, activities, student learning, summer preparations, and staffing.

    1. New Business:
       1. School Calendar: Discuss any necessary adjustments to the 2024-2025 school year calendar, then vote to approve.
       2. School Choice: Review adjustments to enrollment during the summer break in order to consider class sizes.  Vote to approve any new school choice openings.
    2. Continuing Business:
       1. Prekindergarten Programs: Provide information on efforts to collect outstanding balances on tuition payments for FY 24.  Review policies for 2024-2025.  Vote to approve any necessary adjustments.
