Position Available: FULL-TIME TOWN ACCOUNTANT

The Town of Clarksburg seeks an experienced Municipal Accountant for 32 hours per week. This is a benefitted position including health insurance. The position is full-time with a 4 day work week that must fall between Monday to Thursday. Hiring rate is $30.50 - $33.00 an hour. 

Responsibilities include using our Accounting software, performing various accounting functions, including AR, AP, financial statements, budget administration, reconciliations, payroll, audits, and compliance with state and local reporting requirements, maintenance of financial records, approving financial payments, and controlling expenditures of all town funds. 

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance or realted fields. A minimum of 2 years of experience of responsible experience in accounting or financial management; with municipal accounting and supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A willingness to participate in continuing Education and Professional Development is also desirable.
