1. Call to order:
2. Public Comment/Open Meeting Rules: Clarification of the official legal rules of participation by the public in an open meeting.
3. Approval of Minutes: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the minutes from the Clarksburg School Committee Meeting dated September 7, 2023.
4. School Building Project: Any potential updated information regarding a start date in December, during the winter holiday break, for the building project to address the ADA accessibility issue with a chairlift on the back stairwell.  Updates on efforts by the school and district administrators to obtain grant funding to support improvements at the school and on the roads in town.
5. Financial Statement: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the current financial statement for FY24.

7. Principal’s Report: Principal Cote will provide an update on school related events, activities, student learning, and staffing.

    1. New Business:
       1. School Choice Policy: The superintendent will update the committee on recent communication with DESE officials and other rural elementary school superintendents regarding a new state law that could impact school tuition responsibilities for students enrolled from grades K-8 in the district.
       2. NBSU Joint Committee Meeting: The North Berkshire School Union Joint Committee will meet on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in Florida at Abbott Memorial School.
    2. Continuing Business:
       1. Bus Transportation: Discuss recent meetings with the town leaders and residents regarding the traffic at the start and end of the school day, including efforts by the principal to communicate with families about updated policies for arrival times at the school during these time periods in an attempt to limit traffic on the roadway.
