School Committee Meeting - June 5th, 2025

1. Call to order the monthly meeting of the Clarksburg School Committee
2. Public Comment/Open Meeting Rules: Clarification of the official legal rules of participation in an open meeting.
3. School Building Update:
   1. Discuss updates on the roof repair project, summer program, and the follow up from the vote at the Annual Town Meeting last week.
4. Approval of Minutes: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the minutes from the Clarksburg School Committee Meetings dated May 1 and 14, 2025.
5. Financial Statement: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the current financial statement for FY25.
6. Financial Report:
   1. FY26 school budget proposal approved during the Annual Town Meeting on May 28. Discuss any follow up, including staffing updates for the upcoming school year.
7. Principal’s Report: An update on school related events/activities, student learning, and staffing.

    1. New Business:
       1. Wellness Policy: Review and discuss the updated Wellness Policy.
       2. School Choice Policy: Discuss any potential updates to the policy, including the total student number per classroom used to determine new openings.

       1. Teacher Contract Negotiations: Discuss one final request by the teachers as part of the process to finalize a new three-year agreement.
       2. Residency Policy: Review and finalize an updated policy for the 2025-2026 school year, including the proposed plan to verify residency for all enrolled Clarksburg School students during the summer break
11. Executive Session- Per Chapter 30A, Section 21 MGL: Negotiation of the Teachers Contract
