  5. Minutes: Approval of the September 15, 2025, NBSU Joint Committee meeting minutes
  1. North Berkshire School Union #43 Agreement: The committee will consider the following requests to evaluate and update the current union agreement:
  • The Clarksburg Select Board will propose a new method for determining the percentage each district is responsible for paying to develop a more equitable policy for the distribution of these shared NBSU expenses.
  • The Clarksburg and Florida School Committees have referenced the need for a re-evaluation of the current union agreement for the purpose of determining the number of voting members on the Joint Committee to represent a structure that better represents each of the five districts.
  1. North Berkshire Regional Study: To authorize the Chair to designate up to one representative from each of the following districts to serve on the Steering Committee to oversee and collaborate with the consultant to be hired to conduct the North Berkshire Regionalization study:  Clarksburg, Florida, Monroe, and Savoy.   This committee will deliberate on and make recommendations upon the gathering informational data to present options for a potential reorganization among the North Berkshire School Union, the Hoosac Valley Regional School District, the Mount Greylock Regional School District, and the North Adams Public Schools, giving particular priority to improving the quality and variety of educational programming and services provided to our member communities at the secondary level (grades six through twelve).
  1. Business Administrator Interview: Conduct the process of interviewing the current finalist candidate for this position, including a committee vote after the interview.  (The candidate has been advised that this interview will take place at 7:00 p.m. to allow time for other committee business on the agenda)
  1. New Joint Committee Business: Any other items for discussion and review by the committee members not reasonably anticipated prior to the posting of this meeting.
