School Committee Meeting - Oct. 7th, 2025

Meeting held in the school cafeteria/gymnasium.

Agenda

1. Call to order the joint meeting of the Clarksburg School Committee and the Clarksburg Select Board
2. Financial Update: Discuss requests communicated by the Select Board Chair and Town Administrator to review NBSU percentages for shared expenses, as well as review any other financial concerns, including an increase in unexpected costs during the current fiscal year for students requiring placement in out of district programming.
3. Financial Report: Updates on the progress to work collaboratively with the town financial officials to reconcile all accounts and prepare/complete the end of year reports.
4. School Building Update: Review the completed work for the school roof project and the flooring in the school, as well as the challenges with updating equipment in the cafeteria.  Discuss other building needs and updates, including space issues in the school with the consistent increases in the student population and needs of the children for services.

6. Call to order the monthly meeting of the Clarksburg School Committee
7. Public Comment/Open Meeting Rules: Clarification of the official legal rules of participation in an open meeting
8. Approval of Minutes: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the minutes from the Clarksburg School Committee Meeting dated September 4, 2025.
9. Financial Statement: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the current financial statement for FY26.

    1. North Berkshire Regionalization Study update: Updated information will be shared with the school committee by Superintendent Franzoni.

       1. Prekindergarten Policy: Review the current policy and make the necessary adjustments in the policy language to reflect the current program and the practices in both of these early childhood classrooms for Clarksburg resident students.
       2. Committee Code of Ethics: Review and discuss the MASC Code of Ethics and Conduct for School Committee members
