Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Notification System
The Town of Clarksburg can provide notification via email to interested parties of Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) discharges into either the North Branch of the Hoosac River or the Hudson Brook, should they happen. Understanding that The Town of Clarksburg does not operate a waste water facility, any potential discharge would most likely be a result of pump failure or a sewer line break. In such an event (we have had two over the last 20years), the town can provide an email notice to interested parties via a one-way email. Under this new mandate, if such an occurrence happens, subscribers will receive an initial email notice describing the incident, location and estimated volume. There would also be updates to the situation until the break/failure is resolved. A one way email means that our system will send notice, but NOT reply to any inquiries via this system.
DISCLAIMER: BY SUBSCRIBING TO THIS NOTIFICATION SYSTEM, THE SUBSCRIBER AGREES TO HOLD HARMLESS THE TOWN OF CLARKSBURG, ITS EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS FROM ANY HARM OR DAMAGE FROM CYBERSECURITY FAILURES, MALWARE, VIRUSES, PHISHING, COSTS OF DATA TRANSFERS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM AND/OR ITS USEAGE.
