Clarksburg School Committee Meeting - Sept. 4th, 2025

Agenda

1. Call to order the monthly meeting of the Clarksburg School Committee
2. Public Comment/Open Meeting Rules: Clarification of the official legal rules of participation in an open meeting.
3. Announcements: NBSU Joint Committee Meeting on Monday, September 8, 2025, 6:00 p.m.  This meeting will be held at Abbott Memorial School, Florida, MA.
4. School Building Update:
   1. Discuss updates on the roof repair project, flooring in the primary wing classrooms, cafeteria equipment, and any other building repairs and improvements.
5. Approval of Minutes: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the minutes from the Clarksburg School Committee Meeting dated August 7, 2025.
6. Financial Statement: Suggested Motion: Move to approve the current financial statement for FY26.
7. Financial Report:
   1. Updates on the progress to work collaboratively with the town to reconcile all financial documents, along with working toward completing the FY25 end of the year report.

    1. North Berkshire Regionalization Study update: Updated information will be shared with the school committee by Superintendent Franzoni.

    1. New Business:
       1. Out of District Expenses: Review planning for meeting the needs of all students, including the unexpected budget increases once again this year due to students requiring placements out of district in order to meet their needs
    2. Continuing Business:
       1. Residency Policy: Discuss the updated policy voted on by the School Committee in June and the ongoing challenges being encountered by the school administration.
