Public Notice - Article 22 Amendment Notice
ARTICLE SIXTEEN: (majority vote) Citizens Petition
To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 22 adopted at Annual Town Meeting on May 24th, 2016 as it relates to the Animal Husbandry bylaw with regard to the placement of farm animals defined in said bylaw to be changed as follows or take any action related thereto.
"To see if the Town will vote to: amend Article Twenty Two: minimum lot size for animal
husbandry,
- "No animals shall be housed or penned within 100' ( one hundred feet) of a neighboring drilled or shallow dug well, as per EPA recommendation."
- "If animal location site, and adjacent properties are within 100' ( one hundred feet) are
served by a public water supply, a minimum of 2 acres of land shall be required, i.e. horse, cow, goat, swine, alpaca, or any other animal having an anticipated weight of 150lbs or more at maturity. All said animals shall have shelter, adequate water and food sources as defined by applicable laws promulgated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts."

On the above date I have posted copies of the Clarksburg Bylaw amendment approved at the Annual Town Meeting that convened on May 29, 2019 and approved by the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on September 16, 2019 at the following public places:
- Town Hall
- Senior Center
- DPW
- Library
- School
