Duties

The Town Clerk has administrative and supervisory responsibility for the administration of federal, state and local statutes; maintenance of official municipal records; and the administration of fair and accurate federal, state and local elections. Other responsibilities include recording and certifying the proceedings of all town meetings, overseeing the annual town census, voter registration, vital records, issuance of various licenses and permits, preparing annual budgets for the Town Clerk’s office, and election and registration activities.

Vital Record Request:

To obtain a copy of your Marriage License, Death Certificate, or Birth Certificate please contact the Town Clerk to ensure that your record is on file before purchasing.

Dog License Request:

State Law requires all dogs in the Commonwealth of MA over six months of age to be licensed annually.

2024 Dog Licenses are valid from April 1, 2024, through April 1, 2025

A $10.00 LATE FEE WILL BE CHARGED AFTER JUNE 1, 2024

    • Male/neutered $5.00
    • Female/spayed $5.00
    • Male/Female $12.00

Open Meeting Law and Ethics Training

All town employees and elected officials are required to complete Ethics Training and Mass Open Meeting Law Training.

Online Ethics Training - print certificate to submit to Town Clerk and keep a copy for your records (repeat every two years)
